Main Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced thin (seeds removed)
- 1 pound boneless chuck steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 jar (16 oz) Ragù® Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (4 oz) sliced olives
- 1 loaf French bread
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425° F and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil to prepare for baking the pizzas.
- Sauté Bell Peppers: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced red bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes until the peppers are crisp-tender.
- Cook Steak: Add the thin strips of boneless chuck steak to the skillet with the bell peppers. Cook until the steak is browned on all sides. Then, stir in half of the jar of Ragù Classic Alfredo sauce, reduce heat to low, and heat through briefly. Remove the skillet from the heat once the mixture is hot and well combined.
- Prepare French Bread: Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Place both halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over both pieces of the bread.
- Assemble Pizza: Evenly distribute the steak and pepper mixture over both halves of the bread. Sprinkle one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on each bread half. Then, evenly scatter the sliced olives on top of the cheese.
- Bake: Bake the French bread pizzas in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
- Serve: Remove the pizzas from the oven and let them stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your flavorful Italian Cheese Steak French Bread Pizza!
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes while sautéing the bell peppers.
- You can substitute chuck steak with sirloin or flank steak if preferred.
- To make this recipe vegetarian, omit the steak and add sautéed mushrooms or additional bell peppers.
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven for best texture.
- Ensure the French bread is fresh for a crisp crust and soft interior.
