Description

This White Chocolate-Strawberry Tiramisu is a luscious twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of ladyfingers soaked in orange juice, rich mascarpone and cream cheese cream mixed with melted white chocolate, and fresh sliced strawberries. Perfectly chilled and topped with a drizzle of chocolate syrup, it’s a refreshing and elegant dessert ideal for spring and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Cream Mixture

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (4 oz) mascarpone cheese
  • 9 oz white baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Assembly

  • 2 packages (3 oz each) ladyfingers, split
  • â…” cup orange juice
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Whipped Cream: Whip 2 cups of heavy cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form, then set it aside for later use.
  2. Make the Creamy Mixture: In another bowl, beat together 8 oz softened cream cheese and ½ cup (4 oz) mascarpone cheese until fluffy. Gradually add the melted and cooled 9 oz white baking chocolate, ½ cup of confectioners’ sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream, being careful not to deflate it.
  3. Layer the Tiramisu: Lightly brush half of the ladyfingers with half of the ⅔ cup orange juice and arrange them in a 13×9-inch dish to form the base layer. Spread half of the creamy mixture evenly over the soaked ladyfingers, followed by half of the sliced fresh strawberries.
  4. Add the Second Layer: Brush the remaining ladyfingers with the rest of the orange juice and layer them over the strawberries. Mix the remaining ½ cup confectioners’ sugar into the rest of the creamy mixture, fold in any remaining whipped cream, and spread this mixture evenly over the ladyfingers layer.
  5. Top & Chill: Arrange the remaining sliced strawberries on top. Cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly.
  6. Serve: Before serving, drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired to add an extra touch of sweetness and decoration.

Notes

  • Ensure the white chocolate is fully melted and cooled before mixing to avoid curdling the cream mixture.
  • Do not overwhip the heavy cream; soft peaks provide a light, airy texture.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture contrast.
  • This dessert benefits from chilling overnight for the best flavor development and firmness.
  • For a dairy-free alternative, consider substituting mascarpone and cream cheese with vegan cream cheese and coconut cream, though texture will vary.
  • Serve chilled and drizzle chocolate syrup just before serving to maintain the dessert’s visual appeal.
