- 2 thick slices of brioche or milk bread
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp honey (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
- Fresh fruits or nuts (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, honey, sugar, and cinnamon (if using) until well combined.
- Cut a criss-cross pattern on the surface of the bread slices, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Spread the honey butter mixture generously over the top of each bread slice, allowing it to seep into the cuts.
- Place the bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with additional honey.
- Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with fruits or nuts if desired.
