Description

Delicate, heart-shaped puff pastries filled with sweet strawberry jam, perfect for a romantic vegan treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet vegan puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam (or preferred fruit jam)
  • 2 tbsp almond milk (for brushing)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut an even number of shapes.
  4. Place half of the hearts on the baking sheet and add a small spoonful of jam in the center of each.
  5. Place the remaining hearts on top, sealing the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with almond milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
