- 1 box (15.25 oz) devil’s food cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter (optional, for frosting or topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
- Fold in the cherry pie filling and all three types of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optionally, melt the butter and drizzle over the cake or use as part of a chocolate frosting.
Notes
- Use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor if desired.
