Description

This Family Favorite Salad is a delicious and refreshing blend of crisp greens, colorful vegetables, and a simple homemade dressing. Perfect for any occasion, this salad is quick to prepare and can be customized with your favorite toppings like nuts, cheese, or protein.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens (such as romaine, spinach, and arugula)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cucumber, sliced

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots

  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)

  • 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)

 

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing (or dressing of choice)


Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, and shredded carrots.

  • Toss everything together to mix well.

  • If using, sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese and nuts on top of the salad.

  • Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette dressing over the salad just before serving.

 

  • Toss gently to coat everything in the dressing, and serve immediately.
