- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top if using.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the bread is heated through and edges begin to crisp.
- For a crispier finish, broil on high for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
