- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: sliced jalapeños, guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook ground beef until browned.
- Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 5 minutes until well combined and slightly thickened.
- Place the bottom halves of slider buns on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
- Spoon taco meat evenly over the buns.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are slightly toasted.
- Remove from oven and top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa before serving.
- Optional: Add jalapeños or guacamole for extra flavor.
Notes
- Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a healthier or vegetarian option.
- You can toast the buns separately if you prefer extra crispiness.
- Make ahead by preparing the meat mixture in advance.
