- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the skillet and stir.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until thickened.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the spiciness.
- This dish pairs well with steamed jasmine rice or stir-fried vegetables.
