Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Filling
- 1 1/4 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Strawberry Swirl
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a springform pan. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until fully combined, then press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan to form a solid crust base.
- Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese together with the granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition to incorporate. Stir in the sour cream until just combined.
- Assemble the cheesecake: Pour the cream cheese filling over the prepared crust. Spoon the strawberry puree over the top of the filling, then use a knife to gently swirl the puree into the cream cheese mixture, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake and cool: Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top turns lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow it to cool at room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours to fully set and develop flavor.
- Serve chilled: After chilling, slice the cheesecake and serve chilled. Enjoy the creamy texture combined with the fresh strawberry swirl.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature to avoid lumps in the filling.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the cheesecake texture smooth and creamy.
- Chilling the cheesecake for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) is essential for the best texture and flavor.
- You can substitute strawberry puree with any other fruit puree for variety.
- Use a springform pan to easily remove the cheesecake without damaging the crust.
