Description

A light, airy, and refreshing strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries and cream—perfect for a summer dessert or a sweet treat anytime.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the strawberries with sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Heat the gelatin mixture gently until fully dissolved, then stir it into the strawberry puree.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until well combined.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Garnish with fresh strawberries or mint leaves before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Chill the mixing bowl and beaters before whipping the cream for better results.
  • You can substitute gelatin with agar-agar for a vegetarian version.
