Description

A creamy and refreshing make-ahead breakfast featuring oats soaked overnight with milk, yogurt, and sweet strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a jar or airtight container, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Stir in the chopped strawberries until evenly mixed.
  3. Seal the container and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  4. In the morning, give it a good stir. Add extra milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
  5. Top with additional strawberries or a dollop of yogurt before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use dairy-free yogurt and milk to make it vegan.
  • You can prep multiple servings in advance for the week.
  • Substitute strawberries with other berries if preferred.
