Description

Tender steak bites and crispy potatoes cooked together in a skillet for a flavorful, hearty meal that’s easy to prepare and packed with savory goodness.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the halved potatoes, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fork-tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Add steak bites and season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat and add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Return the potatoes and steak to the skillet and toss everything together with the garlic butter.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a cast-iron skillet for best sear on the steak and potatoes.
  • Adjust garlic and spices to taste.
  • Let steak sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking for more even searing.
