Description

Festive and fudgy, these Star-Spangled Brownies are perfect for patriotic celebrations like the 4th of July. Rich chocolate brownies are topped with colorful sprinkles and star decorations for a sweet treat everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • Star-shaped candies or decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until fully combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  8. Top with red, white, and blue sprinkles and star-shaped candies.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
