Ingredients
Scale
Tuna Mixture
- 2 x 5oz (145g) cans of Tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup (60g) full-fat mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 rib of Celery, finely diced
- 1 large Spring Onion, finely diced
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Wrap Assembly
- 4 large Flour Tortilla Wraps
- 1 cup (100g) Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 small Avocados, halved, stoned, peeled & finely sliced (about 1/2 avocado per crunchwrap)
- 1.5oz (40g) Chilli Heatwave Doritos, crushed (about 5-6 chips per crunchwrap)
- 1/2 small head of Iceberg Lettuce, finely sliced
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Tuna Mixture: In a small mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna with mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, finely diced celery, spring onion, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
- Assemble the Crunchwraps: Lay out each of the 4 large flour tortillas on a flat surface. Place a small handful of finely sliced lettuce in the center of each wrap. Next, add a generous scoop of the spicy tuna mixture, followed by slices of avocado seasoned with salt and pepper. Arrange crushed Doritos in a circular pattern on top, then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese. Fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center, overlapping the ends to completely seal the filling inside, creating a circular wrap.
- Cook the Crunchwraps: Heat a pan over medium heat. Working in batches if necessary, place each crunchwrap seam side down in the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until the bottom side turns deep golden and crispy. Carefully flip and cook the other side until it is also golden brown and the cheese has melted inside.
- Serve: Remove the crunchwraps from the pan, slice in half if desired, and enjoy immediately while warm and crispy.
Notes
- Sriracha can be adjusted to taste depending on your preferred spice level.
- Using crunchy Doritos adds an essential texture contrast, but you can substitute with other crisps if preferred.
- Make sure the pan is not too hot to avoid burning the tortilla before the cheese melts.
- For a healthier twist, consider using whole wheat tortillas or a low-fat mayonnaise substitute.
