- 2 oz mezcal
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz agave syrup
- 2–3 slices fresh jalapeño (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks (for garnish and muddling)
- Tajin or chili-lime salt, for rimming glass
- Ice
- Pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Rim a rocks glass with Tajin or chili-lime salt and set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the pineapple chunks and jalapeño slices.
- Add mezcal, lime juice, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and ice to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a jalapeño slice.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño for your desired spice level.
- You can substitute tequila for mezcal for a less smoky flavor.
- Fresh pineapple juice works best, but canned can be used in a pinch.
