Description

A bold and refreshing cocktail combining the smoky flavor of mezcal, the sweetness of pineapple, and a spicy kick from jalapeños—perfect for summer evenings or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 oz mezcal
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup
  • 23 slices fresh jalapeño (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks (for garnish and muddling)
  • Tajin or chili-lime salt, for rimming glass
  • Ice
  • Pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim a rocks glass with Tajin or chili-lime salt and set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the pineapple chunks and jalapeño slices.
  3. Add mezcal, lime juice, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and ice to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  5. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a jalapeño slice.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño for your desired spice level.
  • You can substitute tequila for mezcal for a less smoky flavor.
  • Fresh pineapple juice works best, but canned can be used in a pinch.
