Description

A bold twist on a classic appetizer, Spicy Chili Garlic Deviled Eggs combine creamy yolks with a punch of heat and flavor from chili garlic sauce, making them an irresistible party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or white vinegar
  • Chopped chives or green onions, for garnish
  • Smoked paprika, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool the eggs under cold running water or in an ice bath. Peel the eggs once cool.
  3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks to a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork.
  4. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chili garlic sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spoon or pipe the filling into the egg white halves.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions and a sprinkle of smoked paprika, if desired.
  7. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the chili garlic sauce to control the spice level.
  • For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream or a bit more mayo.
  • These can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
