Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Marinade
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
Noodles and Sauce
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with soy sauce, chili sauce, and honey. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 6 to 7 minutes until they are browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and paprika. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and slightly golden. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Cook the Noodles: Add the instant ramen noodles (discarding the seasoning packets) to the boiling broth. Cook according to package instructions, usually about 3 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
- Finish with Cream: Once the noodles are cooked, reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, mixing everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly and meld the flavors.
- Serve: Ladle the spicy chicken ramen and creamy garlic sauce into bowls. Garnish with sliced green onions for a fresh, bright finish. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Discard the seasoning packets from instant ramen to control salt and flavor.
- Marinating the chicken longer than 30 minutes will deepen the flavor.
- Adjust the amount of chili sauce to control the spice level.
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free option (note it will change taste).
- Garnish with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley in addition to green onions for extra freshness.
