Description

  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the oil and cook until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the pasta evenly.
  5. Stir in the chopped parsley and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
  6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
