Description

Tender meatballs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, made effortlessly in the slow cooker. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 lbs frozen meatballs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until the meatballs are heated through.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce 30 minutes before serving. Let it cook uncovered until thickened.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice or noodles as a main dish.

Notes

  • You can use homemade meatballs instead of frozen for a fresher taste.
  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or omitting red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for 2 months.
