Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the corn kernels and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10-12 minutes until slightly browned and tender.
- Season with salt, pepper, and sugar if using. Stir well.
- Add heavy cream or milk if desired, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and creamy.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
- Fresh corn gives the best flavor, but frozen works well too.
- You can add a pinch of paprika or cayenne for a spicier version.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in a skillet.
