Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce to create the sauce.
  4. In another bowl, toss shredded cabbage with chopped cilantro and a spoonful of the prepared sauce.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing a spoonful of slaw on each tortilla, topping with shrimp, and drizzling with sauce.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked shrimp to save time—just heat through with the seasonings.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter option.
  • Add sliced avocado or diced tomatoes for extra flavor and texture.
