Ingredients
Scale
Egg Mixture
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
Main Ingredients
- 8 oz refrigerated crescent rolls (8 pieces)
- 8 sausage links
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the roll-ups.
- Cook the Sausages: In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage links thoroughly until they are fully cooked in the middle. While the sausages cook, get ready to prepare the eggs.
- Prepare the Eggs: In a small bowl, beat the 4 eggs with 2 tablespoons of milk. Reserve 2 tablespoons of this beaten egg in a small dish for brushing the tops of the crescent rolls later. Scramble the remaining egg mixture in a pan over medium heat until cooked through, then set aside.
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough onto a clean work surface and separate it into 8 individual triangular pieces.
- Assemble the Roll-Ups: On the larger end of each crescent triangle, place one cooked sausage link. Top each sausage with about 1 tablespoon of the scrambled eggs and a generous pinch of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll Up the Triangles: Loosely roll up the crescent triangles from the larger end towards the point, using your fingers to hold the filling in place. Place the assembled roll-ups on an ungreased cookie sheet, spaced apart.
- Brush with Egg Wash: Using the reserved 2 tablespoons of beaten egg, brush the tops of each crescent roll to ensure a golden, shiny finish after baking.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown on top and cooked through.
Notes
- Make sure the sausage links are fully cooked before assembling the roll-ups to ensure food safety.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese like mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or some chopped jalapeños in the filling.
- These roll-ups can be made ahead and refrigerated; bake when ready to serve.
- If you want a crispier roll-up, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
