- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Stir in chopped cabbage, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender. Add chicken broth if needed to prevent sticking.
- Return sausage to the skillet and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use kielbasa, andouille, or any smoked sausage of choice.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
