Description

These Rice Krispie Easter Nests are a fun and festive no-bake treat made with crispy rice cereal, melted marshmallows, and chocolate, perfect for springtime celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (optional)
  • Mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans (for topping)
  • Non-stick cooking spray or butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Grease a muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.
  5. Using a spoon or your hands, press the mixture into the muffin tin to form nest shapes with a hollow center.
  6. Let the nests cool and firm up at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  7. Optionally, melt chocolate chips with peanut butter and spoon a small amount into the center of each nest.
  8. Top each nest with mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans.
  9. Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

  • Use cupcake liners for easier removal from the muffin tin.
  • You can substitute almond butter or omit nut butter entirely.
