Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Stir in oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
