Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (12 oz) package egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onions until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in pasta sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the noodles, followed by the cream cheese mixture, then the meat sauce. Repeat the layers once more.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
