Description

These Pizza Roll Ups are a delicious and fun twist on traditional pizza, perfect for parties or snack time. Made with small flour tortillas, pizza sauce, melted mozzarella, and pepperoni, they are baked until golden and seasoned with garlic and Italian herbs. Easy to prepare and sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

Roll Ups

  • 20 small flour tortillas (about 5 inches wide)
  • 14 oz pizza sauce
  • 24 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 80 slices pepperoni

Seasoning & Oil

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a large baking dish or sheet pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Spread Sauce: Place one tortilla on a flat surface, then spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly over the tortilla, covering close to the edges for full flavor.
  3. Add Cheese: Sprinkle approximately 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza sauce layer on the tortilla.
  4. Layer Pepperoni: Place 4 slices of pepperoni evenly on top of the cheese layer to ensure each bite has pepperoni.
  5. Roll Tortillas: Tightly roll the tortilla up, starting from one edge, and place it seam side down in the prepared baking dish to keep it sealed while baking.
  6. Repeat Process: Continue the spreading, layering, and rolling with the remaining tortillas and ingredients, arranging all roll ups neatly in the baking dish.
  7. Add Oil: Brush the tops of each roll up lightly with the 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to help them brown and crisp during baking.
  8. Season Roll Ups: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt, then sprinkle this fragrant mixture evenly over all the roll ups.
  9. Bake: Bake the roll ups in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the roll ups are warmed through and slightly golden on top.
  10. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm, optionally with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Use small tortillas about 5 inches wide for ideal roll up size.
  • You can substitute pepperoni with other favorite pizza toppings like cooked sausage or vegetables for variety.
  • Brush with oil before seasoning to help the spices stick and improve browning.
  • Serve immediately for best texture, as they can lose crispness when cooled.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
