Pimento cheese is a classic Southern spread made from cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and pimentos. It’s creamy, tangy, and perfect as a dip, sandwich filling, or cracker topping.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 oz) jar diced pimentos, drained
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and drained pimentos.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
  3. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  6. Serve as a dip, sandwich spread, or with crackers.

Notes
