Description

A hearty, one-pan Philly Cheese Beef Skillet packed with seasoned ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and gooey melted cheese. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Push vegetables to the side and add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix everything together well.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce grease in the skillet.
  • You can swap provolone with cheddar or American cheese.
  • Serve with hoagie rolls, over rice, or on top of mashed potatoes.
