- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Push vegetables to the side and add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix everything together well.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce grease in the skillet.
- You can swap provolone with cheddar or American cheese.
- Serve with hoagie rolls, over rice, or on top of mashed potatoes.
