Description

These Patriotic Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups are festive, fun, and perfect for 4th of July celebrations. Soft, chewy cookie cups are filled with a creamy frosting and topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup buttercream or cream cheese frosting
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are set.
  9. Remove from oven and press down the centers gently to form a cup shape. Cool completely.
  10. Pipe or spoon frosting into the center of each cookie cup.
  11. Top with red, white, and blue sprinkles. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Let cookie cups cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
  • You can use store-bought or homemade frosting.
