These Patriotic Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups are festive, fun, and perfect for 4th of July celebrations. Soft, chewy cookie cups are filled with a creamy frosting and topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup buttercream or cream cheese frosting
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are set.
- Remove from oven and press down the centers gently to form a cup shape. Cool completely.
- Pipe or spoon frosting into the center of each cookie cup.
- Top with red, white, and blue sprinkles. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Let cookie cups cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
- You can use store-bought or homemade frosting.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
