Description

These Onion Ring Cheese Burger Sliders combine classic cheeseburger flavors with crispy onion rings and a homemade burger sauce, all sandwiched between sweet King’s Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for parties or family dinners, these sliders are baked to melt the cheese and blend flavors into a delicious, easy-to-serve meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 1 (12-count) package King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • American cheese slices
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Frozen onion rings (cooked according to package directions)

Burger Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • â…› cup mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook Onion Rings: Prepare the frozen onion rings according to the package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Brown Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain excess grease and stir in the minced garlic for added flavor.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish or on a sheet pan. Start layering with a slice of American cheese, then add a generous portion of the cooked ground beef mixture. Spread the homemade burger sauce over the meat, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and place a crispy cooked onion ring on each slider. Finish by covering with the top halves of the rolls.
  4. Bake: Brush the tops of the slider rolls with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them. Bake the assembled sliders at 350°F (177°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the tops are lightly toasted. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked onion rings for the best crunch and flavor.
  • Adjust seasoning in the beef mixture according to taste preference.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture or the burger sauce.
  • These sliders can be pre-assembled and baked just before serving for convenience.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven for best texture retention.
