- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into equal squares or rectangles.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of Nutella in the center of half the pieces.
- Top each Nutella-filled piece with a plain puff pastry square, pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg with water to make an egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can add sliced bananas or strawberries inside for extra flavor.
- Ensure the edges are sealed well to prevent Nutella from leaking out during baking.
- These are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
