Description

Flaky and golden puff pastries filled with rich Nutella, perfect for a quick dessert or sweet snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into equal squares or rectangles.
  3. Place about 1 tablespoon of Nutella in the center of half the pieces.
  4. Top each Nutella-filled piece with a plain puff pastry square, pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk the egg with water to make an egg wash.
  6. Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can add sliced bananas or strawberries inside for extra flavor.
  • Ensure the edges are sealed well to prevent Nutella from leaking out during baking.
  • These are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
