Description

Delicious and easy no-bake cookies made with cocoa, peanut butter, and oats. Ready in just 20 minutes and perfect for a quick sweet treat without the need for an oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups rolled or quick oats

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, granulated sugar, whole milk, and unsweetened cocoa powder. Stir frequently until all the ingredients are fully melted and combined into a smooth chocolate mixture.
  2. Boil: Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and let it boil for exactly 60 seconds, stirring occasionally to prevent burning or sticking to the pan.
  3. Remove from heat: Take the saucepan off the heat and immediately stir in the creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  4. Add oats: Quickly stir in the rolled or quick oats until they are fully coated with the chocolate peanut butter mixture.
  5. Form cookies: Using a spoon, drop portions of the mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper. Allow the cookies to cool completely at room temperature; they will firm up as they set and become ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use quick oats for a softer texture or rolled oats for a chewier bite.
  • Make sure to boil the mixture exactly for 60 seconds for the right consistency so cookies set properly.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter.
