Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup French dressing
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for searing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. (Optional) Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken breasts on both sides for 2–3 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the French dressing, apricot preserves, and onion soup mix.
  5. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbling.
