Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Seasoning
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning Mix
Cheese and Sauces
- 1 cup Nacho Cheese Sauce
- ½ cup Sour Cream
Vegetables and Add-ins
- 1 can Rotel (green chilis with diced tomatoes)
- ½ cup chopped green peppers
- ½ cup diced onions
Wrap and Toppings
- Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos, crushed (amount as desired, approximately 1 cup)
- 4 flour tortilla wraps
- Shredded lettuce (for serving)
Instructions
- Brown the beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the lean ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a spatula. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Sauté vegetables: Add diced onions and chopped green peppers to the browned beef. Sauté for about 4 minutes until vegetables soften.
- Add seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning mix until evenly combined with the meat and vegetables.
- Prepare cheese mixture: In a bowl, combine the Rotel (green chilis with diced tomatoes) and the nacho cheese sauce. Mix well to create a flavorful cheese blend.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay out four large flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spoon a line of the nacho cheese mixture down the center of each tortilla.
- Add filling: Top the cheese layer with the seasoned meat and vegetable mixture, a dollop of sour cream, some extra diced onions and peppers if desired, and a generous sprinkle of crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos for crunch.
- Roll the wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll up tightly like a burrito to encase all fillings securely.
- Toast the wraps: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the rolled wraps seam side down and cook until the bottom is golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and toast the other side until equally crispy.
- Serve: Remove wraps from the skillet and serve immediately with shredded lettuce and any additional toppings you prefer, such as extra sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Adjust the level of heat by using mild or spicy Rotel, or adding extra chili powder in the seasoning.
- For a lower fat version, use reduced-fat cheese sauce and sour cream.
- If you prefer softer wraps, skip the toasting step.
- These wraps pair well with a side of guacamole or fresh salsa for dipping.
