Monte Cristo Sliders are a sweet and savory twist on the classic sandwich, made with layers of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese on soft rolls, brushed with a buttery Dijon glaze, and dusted with powdered sugar.

- 12 slider rolls (e.g., Hawaiian rolls)
- 6 slices of deli ham
- 6 slices of deli turkey
- 6 slices of Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- Cooking spray or butter for greasing baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Without separating the rolls, slice them in half horizontally.
- Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
- Spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise over the bottom half of the rolls.
- Layer the ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly over the rolls.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the layered meat and cheese.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and honey, then brush over the tops of the rolls.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sliders, allowing it to soak in slightly.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until golden and heated through.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Serve with raspberry preserves for dipping.
- You can use any preferred deli meat or cheese variation.
- To make ahead, assemble and refrigerate, then bake when ready.
