Description

A rich and cheesy baked ravioli casserole layered with meat sauce and creamy cheese filling—easy to make and tastes like a million bucks!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the baking dish. Layer with half the ravioli, half the cheese mixture, and half the remaining meat sauce.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey instead of beef for a lighter option.
  • Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Freezes well for meal prep—bake from frozen, adding 20 extra minutes covered.
