Scale
- 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the baking dish. Layer with half the ravioli, half the cheese mixture, and half the remaining meat sauce.
- Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use ground turkey instead of beef for a lighter option.
- Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
- Freezes well for meal prep—bake from frozen, adding 20 extra minutes covered.
