Description

Marry Me Chicken is a rich and creamy chicken dish with a combination of flavors that will make anyone fall in love with it. The chicken is cooked in a decadent sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and cream, creating a dish that is both flavorful and comforting.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook them in the skillet for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the chicken.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a lower-fat cream alternative.
  • Serve this dish with pasta, rice, or a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled or halved depending on the number of servings needed.
