Description

This Maple Mustard Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of maple syrup with the tang of mustard for a delicious glaze over tender salmon fillets.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spoon or brush the maple mustard glaze generously over each piece of salmon.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • You can marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes for deeper flavor.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or wild rice.
  • Use skinless salmon if preferred, though skin-on helps retain moisture.
