- 1 lb large shrimp, shell-on
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 4 ears corn, cut into halves or thirds
- 1.5 lbs baby red potatoes
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp salt
- Water, as needed
- Optional: hot sauce, for serving
- Optional: melted butter, for serving
Instructions
- Fill a large stockpot with water and add Old Bay seasoning, salt, lemon quarters, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Add the potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add the sausage and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the corn and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until pink and cooked through.
- Drain the boil and spread it out on a newspaper-covered table or a large serving tray.
- Serve immediately with melted butter and hot sauce if desired.
Notes
- You can customize with crab legs or clams for a seafood feast.
- For extra spice, add cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the boil water.
- Shell-on shrimp retain more flavor during cooking.
