Description

Rich and fudgy brownies swirled with cream cheese and loaded with chunks of Oreo cookies for the ultimate decadent dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)
  • 15 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and 1 cup sugar until combined.
  3. Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir until just combined. Set aside.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg yolk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla until creamy.
  6. Spread 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
  8. Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife.
  9. Sprinkle chopped Oreos evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  11. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
  • Chill brownies before slicing for cleaner cuts.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
