- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)
- 15 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and 1 cup sugar until combined.
- Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir until just combined. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg yolk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla until creamy.
- Spread 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife.
- Sprinkle chopped Oreos evenly over the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
- Chill brownies before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
