- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
- Stir in the lemon zest and bring the sauce to a simmer.
- Add the heavy cream and simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice for 30 minutes before cooking.
