Description

A light, flaky cod fillet baked to perfection in a zesty lemon butter sauce, perfect for a quick and healthy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the lemon butter mixture evenly over the cod fillets.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh cod for best flavor, but thawed frozen fillets work well too.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your taste preference.
