Description
A quick and easy take on traditional lasagna, this Lazy Lasagna Casserole is made with layers of pasta, marinara sauce, ground beef, and cheese — no tedious layering required.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 12 oz rotini or penne pasta
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, and ricotta cheese. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or sausage.
- Make it vegetarian by skipping the meat and adding sautéed vegetables.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
