Description
Colorful and fun Layered Peeps Rice Krispie Treats are a festive twist on the classic treat, made with marshmallow Peeps for a bright, layered dessert perfect for spring or Easter.

- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal, divided
- 3 packages (3 oz each) Peeps marshmallow chicks (different colors)
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Divide the Peeps by color into three groups.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add one group of Peeps with 2 tablespoons of butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted, stirring in between.
- Stir in 1 1/3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan using a greased spatula.
- Repeat the melting and mixing process with the second and third groups of Peeps and remaining butter and cereal, pressing each layer firmly on top of the previous one.
- Let the treats cool and set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use a different color of Peeps for each layer to create a rainbow effect.
- To avoid sticking, use parchment paper or grease your hands/spatula when pressing layers.
- These treats are best enjoyed within 2 days.
