Description

A fun, colorful, and refreshing layered drink perfect for kids during patriotic holidays like the 4th of July, made with red, white, and blue juices or sodas.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup red sports drink (like fruit punch Gatorade)
  • 1 cup white soda (like lemon-lime soda or clear diet soda)
  • 1 cup blue sports drink (like blue raspberry Gatorade)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Fill a clear glass to the top with ice cubes to help separate the layers.
  2. Pour the red sports drink into the glass as the bottom layer.
  3. Slowly and gently pour the white soda over the back of a spoon to layer it on top of the red drink.
  4. Repeat the process with the blue sports drink, again pouring it slowly over a spoon to create the top layer.
  5. Serve immediately with a festive straw or stirrer if desired.

Notes

  • Pour drinks with the highest sugar content first (red), then medium (white soda), then lowest (blue) for best layering.
  • Use a spoon to help layer without mixing colors.
  • Can be made in a pitcher for parties, but individual glasses layer best.
