Description

Juicy oven baked tilapia is a light, flavorful fish dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner. The fish is seasoned with herbs and lemon, then baked to tender perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tilapia fillets (about 46 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the fillets.
  4. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the fillets.
  5. Top each fillet with a few lemon slices.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh tilapia for best results, but frozen works if fully thawed.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute tilapia with other white fish like cod or haddock.
