Description

These Irresistible Tiramisu Truffles combine the rich, creamy flavors of classic tiramisu into bite-sized, decadent treats. Made with mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and hints of coffee and vanilla, these no-bake truffles are coated in melted chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder for the perfect indulgent dessert or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Tiramisu Filling

  • 1 ½ cups mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 2 tbsp strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or ladyfinger crumbs)

Coating

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted (for dipping)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tiramisu Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, coffee liqueur (if using), and brewed coffee until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the Crumbs: Stir in the graham cracker crumbs or ladyfinger crumbs until the mixture thickens and holds together.
  3. Form the Truffles: Using your hands or a spoon, scoop small portions of the mixture and roll them into approximately 1-inch balls. Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the Truffles: Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour, or until they are firm and set.
  5. Dip in Chocolate: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate either in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating them evenly, and place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Coat with Cocoa Powder: After the chocolate slightly hardens, sift cocoa powder over the truffles for a classic tiramisu finish. Alternatively, roll the truffles in the cocoa powder immediately after dipping for a more intense cocoa flavor.
  7. Serve: Allow the chocolate to fully set and serve the truffles chilled. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur and increase the brewed coffee slightly.
  • You can substitute ladyfinger crumbs for the graham cracker crumbs if preferred to stay traditional to tiramisu flavors.
  • Ensure the mascarpone is softened to room temperature before mixing for a smoother filling.
  • Use high-quality semi-sweet chocolate for the best dipping results and flavor.
  • Truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or frozen for longer storage.
