Ingredients
Scale
Cauliflower
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Hot Honey Glaze
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for roasting the cauliflower.
- Season Cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated with all the seasonings.
- Roast Cauliflower: Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the florets are golden and crispy.
- Make Hot Honey Glaze: While the cauliflower is roasting, combine honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is warm and fully combined, forming a smooth glaze.
- Glaze the Cauliflower: Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and drizzle the hot honey glaze over it. Toss well to coat all the florets evenly with the sweet and spicy glaze.
- Caramelize Glaze: Return the glazed cauliflower to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize and deepen in flavor.
- Garnish and Serve: Take the cauliflower out of the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while warm and flavorful.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce and red pepper flakes depending on your spice preference.
- Use fresh parsley for the best garnish flavor and appearance.
- For extra crispiness, spread the cauliflower florets without overlapping on the baking sheet.
- This dish pairs well with grains like quinoa or as a side to grilled meats.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
